STAT400 Introduction to Statistics

This course provides a foundational overview of mathematical statistics as a decision-making tool. It aims to equip students with the skills to interpret summarized data in both descriptive and inferential statistical contexts. Topics include frequency distributions, central tendency measures, dispersion measures, probability distributions, random sampling, interval estimation, hypothesis testing, mean comparisons, and regression analysis.

 

Prerequisites: Algebra proficiency required (high-school algebra 2 or a college equivalent)
